Geneva Yang

Policy Analyst

Geneva is a policy analyst with IISD’s Resilience team, focusing specifically on the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network. She conducts research and analysis to support developing countries in their adaptation planning and leads on the NAP Trends database.

Prior to IISD, Geneva was a policy analyst at Environment and Climate Change Canada, where she supported strategic policy and engagement on international climate and environmental files. She also has policy research, project management, and stakeholder engagement experience across academic, non-governmental, and public sectors, having worked at the McGill Office of Sustainability, United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, and Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth.

Geneva holds a master’s degree in environmental sustainability from the University of Ottawa and a bachelor’s degree in international development and psychology from McGill University.

Geneva is based in Ottawa and is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin.
